Nancy Brandt
An avid world traveler — with her heart firmly in Africa.
A lifetime desire, fulfilled.
Safari Lady was born from Nancy's lifetime desire to travel to Africa — to see and experience the wild animals, the open spaces, and one of the most interesting, exotic, and mysterious parts of the world.
What she didn't expect, once she finally stepped onto that soil, was how deeply she'd fall for the people. Africa's soul, she discovered, belongs to them.
Once she'd traveled, Nancy longed to share it with others — to teach, to introduce, and to offer experiences that many people only dream about. Today, as a certified Kenya Specialist and the owner of her own Cruise Planners franchise, she designs imaginative safari itineraries across East Africa.
Equally as important as the animals and landscapes is connecting to the heart of Africa: its people.
Learning tribal history, joining cultural practices, sharing a meal, picking up a few words — these moments open up relationships that broaden your world without measure. When you experience Africa this way, you come to appreciate the careful relationship between wildlife, land, and the people who have lived alongside both for generations.
Nancy & Bruno.
On the ground in Africa, Nancy partners with Classic Geo Adventures — a top-rated operator based in Nairobi. Their Owner/Managing Director, Bruno Ominde, is a former Driver Guide with Kenya Wildlife Service and is personally involved in every aspect of trip planning.
Nancy and Bruno met on a travel advisor safari Bruno was hosting. He asked her to serve as Group Leader, and they've been close friends and collaborators ever since. Together they design personalized itineraries that quietly avoid the mass-market lodges and show up for guests in ways the big operators simply can't.

When Nancy isn't in Africa.
She splits her time between Colorado and Florida, spending time with friends and family. She's an active member of the North American travel advisor community and helps Bruno build Classic Geo's Travel Advisor Program in the States.
For adventures beyond Africa, Nancy also runs her sister site, Adventure First Travels.
