Who we are
This website, safarilady.com, is run by Nancy Brandt, doing business as Safari Lady. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Safari Lady. If you have any questions about your information, email nancy@safarilady.com or call +1 719 661 6132.
What we collect
- When you contact us. The contact form asks for your name, your email address, who's traveling, what you'd like to do and, if you wish, how you heard about us. When you send it, our web host, Cloudflare, checks that it came from a person rather than a bot (using Cloudflare Turnstile, which looks at basic information about your browser), then emails your message to Nancy. The website itself doesn't keep a copy. If you email or call instead, we receive whatever you choose to share.
- When you plan or book a trip. To arrange travel, we may ask for details such as full names as they appear on passports, dates of birth, passport information, contact details, dietary or medical needs, travel preferences, and payment information.
- When you visit the site. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, receives basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
To understand how the site is used, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts visits without cookies and without identifying you: it records things like which pages were viewed, which site sent you here, your browser and device type, and your country. It doesn't follow you to other websites. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it

- To plan, book, and support your trip
- To keep business records and meet our legal and tax obligations
We'll only add you to a mailing list if you ask us to.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing. We share it only when needed:
- Travel suppliers who make your trip happen, such as our ground partner Classic Geo Adventures in Nairobi, lodges and camps, airlines, transfer companies, and travel insurance providers. Many of them are outside the United States, including in Kenya and Tanzania, so your information may be sent to and stored in those countries.
- Service providers that help run this website and our email, such as our web host (Cloudflare, which also runs the contact form's spam check and delivers its messages to us) and our email provider (Zoho Mail). They may use your information only to provide those services.
- When the law requires it, for example in response to a valid legal request.
Cookies and Do Not Track
This site doesn't use cookies to track you. Our hosting provider may set a small cookie that's strictly necessary for security. No third parties collect personal information about your online activities over time or across other websites through this site. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because we don't track visitors, there's nothing for that signal to switch off, and the site works the same way whether or not it's on.
How long we keep it
We keep your information as long as we need it to answer you, plan your trip, and keep the business and tax records the law requires. After that, we delete it.
Keeping it safe
The site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so please don't send passport or payment details through the contact form. Nancy will arrange a safer way to collect those when you book.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the personal information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Just email nancy@safarilady.com or call +1 719 661 6132. We may need to keep some records the law requires, such as booking and tax records.
Children
This site is meant for adults and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children through the site. When a family books a trip, a parent or guardian provides the children's details needed for travel.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top of the page.
